EDUCATION
I earned my Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Montpellier
in France working on the evolutionary history of two sibling species of birds (larks),
and then went on with postdoctoral studies in Mississippi, Ontario (CA), and Hawaii,
on model species such as double-crested cormorant, Canada lynx and Hawaiian honeycreepers.
COURSES TAUGHT
My current teaching responsibilities include topics related to vertebrate ecology,
such as Ornithology, Biostatistics, as well as an introductory Biology course.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested by the historical and ecological mechanisms underlying species diversification
and distribution, and particularly topics such as species coexistence in animal communities
and the patterns and determinants of avian migration. Some of my previous research
projects include phylogenetic and ecomorphological studies, and the development of
population dynamics models and statistical decision tools for biodiversity conservation
and wildlife management.
