from the Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs set out to create a meaningful chamber of commerce.
This modernized Chamber began on the second floor of City Hall, moving several times,
before finding permanent residence at 102 Jamestown Boulevard in Dothan.
The Chamber of Commerce was accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and now includes
over 960 businesses and individuals looking to advance all areas of the community.
Scope / Content Note: Scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings about Chamber activities, economic activities, industrial development, agriculture, festivals, visits by dignitaries and celebrities. Newspapers are similar. Files contain some scattered correspondence, annual banquet invitations, photographs, sheet music, and pledge cards.
Organization: Scrapbooks arranged chronologically.
